چکیده
Background: Magnetic resonance arthrogram (MRA) has emerged as a supplement to non-contrast magnetic imaging (MRI), especially in the identification of meniscal and chondral pathologies. It increased diagnostic efficacy MRI evaluation knee Aims Objectives: The present study was carried out evaluate role MRA diagnosis various pathologies correlate its findings with arthroscopy. Materials Methods: A total 56 patients pain scheduled undergo arthroscopic were enrolled assessed using before correlated findings. level agreement measured kappa statistics. Diagnostic terms sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative value. Results: Cartilage involvement (48.2%), anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear medial meniscus (37.5% each), bony injury (n=12; 21.4%), defect (n=11; 19.6%), posterior (n=10; 17.9%), lateral (n=8; 14.3%) confirmed by had sensitivity specificity 100% for such ACL tear, injury. specific all no false detection. There strong perfect between different Conclusion: found be highly tool it is useful reducing burden undesired invasive arthroscopies.

Evaluation of Role of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Knee Joint Injuries in Correlation with Arthroscopy
Introduction: Internal derangement of knee is common after injury. In acute stage, clinical examination of painful knee may be difficult and frequently the imaging studies are required to assess the injuries of the menisci, cartilage ligaments or bone. Materials and methods: A prospective study was conducted at the department of orthopedic. A total of 50 patients (50 knees) were examined, 42 pa...
متن کاملEvaluation of clinical tests and magnetic resonance imaging for knee meniscal injuries: correlation with video arthroscopy☆
OBJECTIVE To determine the specificity, sensitivity, accuracy, likelihood, and correlation of the findings of meniscal tests and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to knee video arthroscopy. METHODS A cross-sectional study, conducted between June and December 2015, which evaluated 84 patients with meniscal tears (MT) selected for video arthroscopy. Two orthopedic trainees and a resident perform...
متن کاملIndications requiring preoperative magnetic resonance imaging before knee arthroscopy
INTRODUCTION Knee arthroscopy knee is gold standard in diagnosis and simultaneous treatment of knee disorders. But most patients undergo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) before arthroscopy, although MRI results are not always consistent with arthroscopic findings. This raises the question in which suspected diagnoses MRI really has influence on diagnosis and consecutive surgical therapy. MATE...
متن کاملAnalysis of Low-Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging Scanners for Evaluation of Knee Pathology Based on Arthroscopy.
BACKGROUND In recent years, few studies have evaluated low-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) diagnoses compared with intraoperative findings of the knee. PURPOSE To determine the accuracy and sensitivity of low-field MRI scanners in diagnosing pathology of the menisci, cruciate ligaments, and osteochondral surfaces. STUDY DESIGN Cohort study (diagnosis); Level of evidence, 2. METHODS...
